Louisiana has a proud military heritage. Throughout history, Louisianians have answered the Call To Arms in defense of their freedom.
The Museum contains an extensive collection of military artifacts and weapons from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Seen below is the life-like Diorama, created by members of the Historic Association, depicting the siege of Port Hudson, La. in the Civil War..

Each year in October, members of the Historic Association present a reenactment of the Civil War. The festival is augmented with historical and entertainment events saluting Lousiana's proud Antebellum past. The firing of the 1812 cannon, seen below, is an event not to be missed.

We sincerely hope that you enjoyed this virtual tour and that you will join us for some real Louisiana Southern hospitality.

The Museum is open daily, 10 AM til 5 PM (closed Mondays).
A small admission charge benefits the work of the Historic Association.
